South African Wine Single Bottles

This wine is the "classic" style of a new world wine. The nose is full of black currant, ripe cherry and subtle cigarbox flavours. With age the wine will show different layers of fruit in the mid palate, complemented by a long velvety finish.

This Babylons Toren selection Chardonnay came from low yielding vineyards producing grapes with exceptional flavours of apricot and pear. Barrel fermentation in small French oak barriques has provided the structure and nuances of almond and vanilla. Malolactic fermentation and ten months ageing on the yeast lees, has added a creamy texture and a long finish. Oaked: 10 mnths.

Aromatic off-dry blend with muscat, sauvignon blanc, chenin blanc, continues in same mould: tropical fruit, floral notes, nicely flavourful experience.

Light oaking for full expression of low-yielding bushvines (pinotage, some shiraz, cinsaut): 05 molten black plums, whiffs scrub, salty liquorice. Silky palate completes seduction. Not for long ageing, just enjoy.

This wine reminds us of all that we love of hot Summer days and warm breezy nights.  This delicious strawberry and cream Rosé has a pale yet attractive watermelon pink color . It is summer fresh with aromatic floral notes, a crisp dry finish and a very well-structured natural acidity. 

This is a wine that emphasizes the natural fruit flavours which were obtain from the grape, rather than on oak flavours. The wine has flavours of dried peach, citrus, hazelnut and lees aromas. These are very well expressed on the palate as well. The wine is well-structured with a beautiful balance.

Our Sauvignon Blanc is generous in style with an abundance of ripe granadilla, green fig and grapefruit aromas.  The palate is rich and opulent, layered with ripe tropical fruit and underlining minerality, typical of the Banghoek Valley.  The wine is gently structured with the acid providing balance and length.

This Sauvignon Blanc shows an abundance of tropical fruit along with citrus, grapefruit and freshly cut grass.  This all follows through to a crisp palate with a long limey finish.

The wine captures the essence of a cool climate Sauvignon Blanc with abundant flavours of passion fruit and gooseberry.

A rich, royal blackberry colour with a gentle smokiness on the nose and voluptuous berry fruit on the palate.
